Welcome to the very first Fresh Reveals.
This is where we catch you up on all the IndieGame announcements from the past week that had us reaching for the Wishlist button.
As always, there is something for everyone – whether you like to shoot first, solve puzzles, use the power of music, or discover the hell deep in all of our souls
Let's DIG in!
Slash First, Shoot Second
The quickest way from point A to B is to go straight through, no questions.
Reblade: The Death Spiral by ChillyRoom
This blade thirsts for synthetic metal. Cut a path of destruction through a cyberpunk world inspired by Chinese mythology. Each run lets you combine weapons, chips, and augments to shape your build and choose the stylish flair at which you will hack and slash your enemies.
No release date in sight yet – stay sharp – we will have more in the future.
Huntdown: OVERTIME by Easy Trigger Games
If you remember the over-the-top action from straight-to-VHS-era blockbusters, then congratulations, you're old – and also, this is for you. Hunt, die, upgrade, and repeat until you're more robo than cop in an explosive roguelite prequel to Huntdown.
John Sawyer is going to make a killing in Q2 2026!
You Can't Punch A Mystery
Trust me, I've tried, and they won't invite me back to boardgame night anymore.
The Alighieri Circle: Dante's Blood by ONE-O-ONE GAMES
Every family has skeletons in their closet. Some are minor, like that aunt who gossips too much, and others are like an ancestral curse that resurfaces every 33 years to thin the barrier between reality and Hell.
Immerse yourself in a dark, modern interpretation of the Divine Comedy.
WheelMates by Firevolt
Phew, I think that's enough violence and darkness – let's move on to embracing your inner child. You and a friend take control of a pair of remote control cars and explore a strange, seemingly abandoned house. Knowing me, I will be doing less digging of secrets and more power drifting across kitchen countertops.
No road signs leading to a release date yet; however, you can join the Playtest right now.
Alien Problems In Three Parts
The Drake Equation, the Principle of Mediocrity, and the Fermi Paradox have taught us that Alien life is inevitable. So what do we do when we meet them?
Signal Station by Cherrypick Games
You're at a remote listening station, and a pattern emerges within the cosmic noise. You decode it – obviously – and then... do you share the message? Who do you share it with? or do you hide it from the world.
Sonic Terror: A Rock Tour by Book Burner Games
In an alternate 1984 where the time for decoding messages is long past, the republic motherland has been invaded by body-snatching aliens. Let the bass drop and fight with music, shredding your enemies with riffs. Three messy characters look to save the world, if their egos don't wreck them first.
Fight the power, and join the playtest now!
Good Boy by Observer Interactive
It's not all laser beams and world-ending consequences. Alien encounters can be heart-warming and cosy. LAIKA (love the reference to the goodest boy in all space history) are Space Rovers inhabited by the second life of our dogs. They get to live on forever, chasing butterflies on distant planets, unravelling mysteries, and building a home base.
Get your tails (antennas?) wagging, Good Boy blasts off sometime this year.
We have arrived at our final reveal of the week, and it's an IndieGame that has me very excited.
Emberville by Cygnus Cross
With CohhCarnage (watch his playthrough here) involved in creative direction, voice work from Alex Jordan and Doug Cockle, and a rich, immersive world to call your new prison. This is one to watch closely as it develops. I could talk about so much more: the combat mechanics, the detail put into the world, and the passion from all involved – I'll let the trailer speak for itself.
That's it for the first episode of Fresh Reveals.
Thanks for reading – I hope you were able to find at least one gem to add to your Wishlist.
Join us again every Friday for more Fresh Reveals and to find out what is On The Horizon.
