I've been following Love Eternal for a long time now. Psychological horror always seems to have a knack for burrowing under my skin with its quiet dread and twisting the mundane into new fears you didn't know you had. In games, that effect hits even harder as you are experiencing it first-hand and not just watching from the outside.

That sense of unease sits at the heart of Love Eternal, the debut title from Brika.

“We wanted to explore the subtler aspects of psychological horror with LOVE ETERNAL, and tried to imbue every scene and environment with a sense of unease that was unmistakable, but impossible to put your finger on,” said brlka designer Toby Alden.

The story begins disarmingly enough: a family dinner, a teenager named Maya, a moment that feels almost normal. It doesn't last. What follows is a descent into a waking nightmare that steadily erodes your sense of reality.

Between narrative beats, Love Eternal unfolds as a precision platformer built on the momentum and instability of gravity. You're constantly planning your movements through collapsing spaces, flipping gravity at tense moments, and threading through hazards without hesitation. Avoid razor-sharp spikes, shifting lasers, and other deadly obstacles.

At its core, this is an unconventional horror game about fleeing the domain of a selfish god – one that traps you with distorted visions of loved ones and horrifying aberrations. With an unsettling sound design and visuals that have you reaching for the lights, Love Eternal looks set to leave a mark.

Your escape begins on February 19th.
